Testing, testing!
and how did we get here?
Well… this is new! If you’re probably here, you’re either a friend, a family member, or a secret third option (stalking me on social media and honestly I don’t blame you). Regardless, hi hello! I’m Aditri and it’s nice to meet you!
I didn’t really think that I would ever start a newsletter. I’d seen my sister write one. I’ve read ones written by the sister of one of my best friends and a lovely girl I met at a Maggie Rogers event. Every single time I’ve thought “That’s so cool, but I could never. I don’t think I have much to say.”
That’s an absolute lie. There’s a lot of things I can say. I’m a hypocrite! We all are!
I’ve been posting my weekly ins and outs on my close friends story for months now with no end in sight. I’ve got lot to say. (btw: in for this month is the word “zonked”)
And so how did we get here, writing while eating leftover home fries at my desk. My dear friend, Dylan, is the answer.
It’s a rainy Saturday, and I’ve been humbled by the weather. I’m slightly chilly trying to use my latte to warm me up and Dylan and I are just talking. I don’t see him around my small university campus often, hence, why we’re getting coffee. At some point, I realize that I forgot to post my ins and outs for the week. Oh heavens me! I don’t exactly remember how the conversation evolved from there but I started to talk about the newsletters I read and I just say “I don’t think I can do that.”
And Dylan immediately goes against my statement, tells me I’m interesting and would read my newsletter. I say the same to him, he’s a really talented writer (and I can’t wait to see him take over the world). So it became a mutual pact, I’d make one if he did too.
What can you expect in the future from this? In this moment, I have no idea. I already have things I want to yap about in my notes app but I have no theme or set destination in mind. I consume a lot of media, rot my brain with Tiktok and Twitter, and I’m passionate about the things I find interesting. If you have any ideas or want my take on something, let me know! As you might know, I am a chronic emailer, so although I might take a business day or two to respond, I’ll make sure to pencil you in:)
Thanks for stopping by and reading! Can’t wait to see what’s in store!
